I think beauty is not easy to understand. Some of the people think it is physical and others think it is an inside thing and can not be seen. So maybe physical beauty works on first impression but the inward one works for the whole life time. So at the end of it all. Physical beauty brings inequality but inward beauty doesn’t as it gives someone opportunity on merit

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Having self confidence and self esteem creates beauty. To be honest yes it does create inequality in people still in the lower stages of Maslow’s triangle.

Yes. Beauty does create inequality. Not necessarily for the benefit of the ‘beautiful’ person , although 9 times out of 10, being considered ‘beautiful’ will help a person achieve their goals in life faster and easier. Being beautiful can also cause people to assume that one is vain, shallow, stupid… but I would still rather take that, than be considered ugly and have doors shut on me because of it. The question I’d like to ask is, why is this being asked? What is the point of this question and who could argue that Beauty does not create inequality?? Inequality, as an issue, can be found everywhere. In fact life is all about inequality. And to try to go so far as someone’s beauty, to try to link that with issues of inequality is…well..it’s dangerous. It’s starting to say that something that someone is Born with, and had no choice in, well, that it might be something we have to address when we talk about inequality? Very dangerous line of thinking.

I think the question was about the definition of beuaty rather than about beauty itself.

Beauty is understood in our society as physical and material. Yesterday, I was told by an CEO that people want to work in a beautiful environment and that is why it is easier for good-looking people to find a job.

Beauty doesn’t matter, somebody may not be beautiful but has that inner bold beauty of helping being responsible and a feeling of attachment so it may not look at the outward side but the inner sense someone has to you

Yes Alfred i may agree with you but however sometimes someone may camouflage and then later you realize you start regretting on the choice of decision you made. However, what matters most for women, they insist, is beauty physical beauty. … I believe that our preoccupation with external appearance goes back to the first woman. … The deception that physical beauty is to be esteemed above beauty of heart, spirit, and life leaves both men and women …

Beauty counts a sense of responsibility which helps when making decision whenever your two, so your choice of beauty commands respect because you live and enjoy what community feels proud of you

Surely this can’t be broken down into men and women but into individual people and their perceptions. I don’t think the way I look at beauty is the same as all women or that yours is the same as all men.

For any child brought up by a parent in the village anything in terms of decision for beauty is brought and made by the elders which gives respect to them and concern and feeling of ownership, i feel good when its done by them to help me count it whenever there is a problem in other words i limit myself from problems that may affect in terms of refuting their side

The community that you live in decides what beauty is ie, ones beauty or smartness can only be recorganised by people around you, however, beauty matters in that it makes one be proud and recorganised.

yes, it matters and its often determined differently by different people, culture and nation at large, different cultures have different features they attribute to as beauty and at that time they are the ones to decide who is beautiful according to their features and the same applies to people and nation at large.

It is mostly the society around that decides what is beautiful. if a society takes something to be ugly, then that is something most likely to be followed by someone. and yes, Beauty matters. it is always beauty that we look from something. If the notion Beauty wasn’t in existence, then there would be nothing for us to look for in the world. everyone looks for beauty in something

Beauty is often distorted, misunderstood and shadowed by a wide amount of conflicting pressures. It is something we endlessly strive for, rather than see in the true essence of our happiest moments. who decides on it and does it matter???Beauty, Beauty, Beauty…..
